Whole Lentil (Sabat Masoor) and Boiled Rice
Ingredients

Lentil dal ----(1/2) Kg
v
Water -------(1½) Liters
v
Onion ---- (1) chopped
v
Garlic ---- (4) or 5 cloves cutting
v
Ginger ---- (1) small piece
v
Tomato ---- (1) chopped (medium size)
v
Red chili ---- (1) tables-poon
v
(4) Green
chilies(whole) ---- cut the chilies into pieces
v
Salt ---- (1) table spoon
v
Zeera ---- (1) table spoon
v
Oil ---- (2) table spoon
v
Mustered powder (1) tea Spoon
v
Coriander ---- (1) table spoon
Coriander powder ---- (1) table spoons
Tarka for dal
Ingredients:
v Onion ----- (1) chopped
v Zeera ------ (1) tables-poon
v Oil ---------- (1) cup
v Ginger ----- (1) tables-poon
v Garlic ------ (2) cloves (cut in to pieces)
v Green chili ---- (2) whole and (2) for garnish
v Coriander leaves (chopped) for garnish ---- (1) cup
Boiled Rice:
v
Rice basmati 750g ----- washed & soaked
v
Salt ---- (3) table spoon
v
Lemon (1) table spoon
v
Oil ---- (1) cup (250) ML
After that cover the pot and cook the dal for 20-25 minutes on medium flame. After 25 minutes, take off the cover and cook for 10 minutes. When the lentil dal (Saabat Massor) starts to boil with bubbles and when dal become thick than turn off the flame.
Put 1 cup of oil in the fry pan and add the chopped onion (small size) and fry it for 2 minutes. Now put the garlics (2) clove (cut into pieces), I table spoon of crushed ginger, (I) table spoon of Zeera and 2 green chilies (cut into pieces) and Fry all ingredients for 5-6 minutes until the color becomes golden brown and put the tarka into the dal. Now the dal is ready and cooked put the lentil dal in a bowl and garnish it with coriander leaves, garam masala and (2) green chilies (cut in horizontal pieces).
Our delicious lentil dal is now cooked and it’s time for boiled rice.
Put rice in (15) cups or (3) liter of boiling water add (3) table spoon of salt. Then cook the rice until dente and remove the water and drain the rice thoroughly. Then take (4) table spoons oil in a pot and add strain rice cook on low flame. Now we can cook the rice on low flame for 4 or 5 minutes until the rice become tender, dried and shiny. Our boiled rice is ready.
